A stoneware art pottery vase. This wheel-thrown piece begins with a wide, teal-glazed rim, which tapers to a ginger-jar-shaped basin. The basin is finished with a bisque satin-glaze; it features hand-painted images of three iris plants in bloom on one side and iris leaves and stalks without blooms on the other. The piece is signed indiscernibly on the underside and dated ’02.
