Item Details
An oil on canvas by Austrian painter Rudolf Stoitzner (1873-1933). Stoitzner was a member of an artistic family, his brothers Karl Siegfried Stoitzner and Konstantin Stoitzner also being renowned painters. The artist began studying under his brother Konstantin and then independently in Dresden and Berlin. This still life depicts a basket of fruit surrounded by leaves, flowers and more fruit, with a jug in the background. It is signed ‘R. Stoitzner 1908’ in the lower right corner. Presented in a carved wood frame.

Flaw in upper left of canvas. Torn paper on back.
