Louis Spiegel OIl on Board Clown Portrait
Item Details
An oil painting on board by Ohio artist Louis Spiegel (1901-1975). This portrait depicts a solitary, smiling clown holding a flower. A dark purple hat is perched on top of his spiky black hair and an oversized orange bow adorns his neck. It is signed in black to the lower right. Presented in a gold tone wood frame with a hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- board is slightly bowed. Stains to painting at frame edges. Minor wear to frame.
