A collection of three antique books. This collection features the second volume of Memoires pour Servir à l’Histoire Ecclesiastique des Six Premiers Siècles (Memoirs Useful for the Ecclesiastical History of the First Six Centuries) by French ecclesiastical historian Sébastian Le Nain de Tillemont; published by Charles Robustel of Paris in 1701, this quarto volume is bound in full calf with raised bands and gilt spine decoration. Also included are the fourth volume of the eight series of Notes and Queries: A Medium of Intercommunication for Literary Men, General Readers, Etc. (London: John C. Francis, 1893) and volume III of The Life of George Washington by Washington Irving (New York: Thomas Y. Crowell & Co., c. 1880s), both of which are bound in half leather with marbled boards and gilt spine decoration.
