1903 Nathan & Hays Sterling Silver Footed Vessel

A Chester, England footed bowl made of sterling silver by Nathan & Hayes from 1903. This piece features a spindle finial with gadroon trim to the lid. The body has an oval shape with lion heads on either side and ring handles. The container has four ball feet. It features hallmarks to the lid with a lion standard mark and a date mark for 1903 along with a maker’s mark to the body in a shield cartouche, another standard mark, a city mark for Chester, and another date mark. The approximate weight is 5.50 ozt.
