A mixed media painting on paper by Austrian born American artist Samuel Brecher (1909-1982). The work depicts a cityscape of worn buildings viewed from above with a bridge in the background rendered in a palette of pastel blue, orange, and white over a visible line drawing. Signed to the lower right and presented in a cream mat and gold tone painted wood frame. The work has a New York Times obituary attached to verso.

Condition

- painting has shifted down under mat; light wrinkling; light wear to frame finish.
