A hand-knotted Persian accent rug, attributed to Hamadan weavers. This rectilinear wool rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of midnight blue, rose, and cream. It begins with a floral medallion grounded in cream, the medallion resting on a midnight blue herati field incorporating stylized palmettes, flowers, and oak leaves. Spandrels are grounded in rose and populated with boteh and flowers. Framing the field are compound borders, including a meandering-carnation main border grounded in cream. Selvedges are , the rug finishing at each end with short kilim skirts and ivory cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
