A hand-knotted Turkmen Bokhara area rug. This wool rug features forty-two octagonal guls with interspersed medallions on a cream ground detailed with eight borders, including rams horns, diamond lattice and meandering vine minor borders with a principal, unresolved border of pierced medallions. Rug finishes overcast indigo edges and a natural wool fringe and is unlabeled.
