Georg Jensen "Acorn" and Other Sterling Silver Spoons
Item Details
A collection of five sterling silver spoons. This includes an ice cream spoon in the Acorn pattern by Georg Jensen, first introduced in 1915, featuring a columnar style handle with acorn and scrolled accented tip. It is stamped to the back ‘Denmark Sterling’ along with the ‘GI’ beaded maker’s mark, dating this piece to c.1910-1925. It is presented with a spoon with engraved handle in the Madam Morris pattern and a spoon in the Madam Jumel pattern by Whiting Manufacturing Co., both with personalized engravings to handles. Also included is a place spoon in the Victoria-Florence pattern by Frank M. Whiting Co. and a soup spoon in the Rustic pattern by Towle. Each is stamped for silver fineness to the backs along with the maker’s mark. The total approximate weight is 4.805 ozt.
