Framed Japanese Style Needlepoint
Item Details
A framed Japanese style needlepoint depicting a woman strolling in a garden holding a parasol. Stitching in pinks, greens, blues and tan, feature a flowering weeping cherry tree in the foreground with a stream beneath an arched bridge in the middleground; blue clouds float in the ivory background. The parasol and flora feature three-dimensional embroidery details. The serif initials ‘RK’ are stitched in deep pink at center bottom of image. This work is under non-glare glass in a circular gold tone frame with a paper covered back and sawtooth hanger. A folding wooden easel for tabletop display is included.
