Item Details
A landscape oil painting on board by German artist Carl L. Brandt (1831 – 1905). This painting depicts a mountainous landscape with a riverside cabin, a figure walking with a goat herd, pine tress, and snow-capped mountains in the background. It is signed by the artist to the lower left corner. The piece presents in a decorative gilt wood frame and hangs with a wire in verso.
Condition
- dirt in the image area, most notable in the sky area; craquelure throughout the white sky area; gold tone wood frame showing nicks and scratches around the frame.
