Item Details

A pair of handwoven wool textiles, with fringe. Each weaving features three Yei figures holding cornstalks, rendered in red, blue, grey, brown and black. In Navajo culture, Yei figures represents the supernatural beings who control aspects of the environment. There are no apparent maker’s marks.

Condition

- minor marks and discoloration throughout; stain to the corner of piece with red figures.
