A six panel Chinese room divider. This two sided black lacquer room divider is hinged between the panels for easy adjustment and stability. One side of the divider depicts Bodhisattvas in the heavens surrounded on the edge of all the panels with a cloud and thunder pattern border, better known in the West as the Chinese meander. The other side of the screen depicts a garden scene with established bamboo and bamboo shoots. Marked: Hand Made In People’s Republic of China Designed By Maitland-Smith LTD.
