Gorham "Lyric" Sterling Silver Flatware Set

A sterling silver flatware set for twelve by Gorham of Providence, RI (established 1831). This is in the James Russell Price designed Lyric pattern, first introduced in 1940, which features a twist design around the handles. This 107 piece set includes twelve hollow handle dinner knives, thirteen salad forks, eight iced tea spoons, twenty-nine spoons of varying sizes, thirteen flat handle butter spreaders, ten dessert forks, fourteen luncheon knives, an entree fork, a flat handle master butter knife, a hollow handle pie server, a hollow handle carving set, three serving spoons, and a ladle. The forks and spoons are stamped on the reverse ‘Gorham Sterling Pat. 1940’ to the stem and then ‘Lyric’ to the back of the handle. Items come in a wooden, silver cloth lined storage box. The total approximate weight, is 106.955 ozt.
