Duhme & Co. and Other Sterling Silver Spoons
Item Details
A collection of five sterling silver spoons by American manufacturers. This includes a pair of spoons by Duhme & Co. of Cincinnati, OH (active 1844-1896), which have pointed oval bowls, pointed shoulders, tipped exaggerated fiddle handles, and personalized engravings of ‘Hettie’ to handles. These are presented with a pairing of a teaspoon and a sugar spoon in the Charles W. Harman designed Hampton pattern, first introduced in 1912, by Alvin Manufacturing Co. and a teaspoon in the 1908 Madam Jumel pattern by Whiting Manufacturing Co. Each piece is marked for sterling fineness on the back. The total approximate weight is 3.195 ozt.
