Pair of Carved Mahogany Chippendale Style Armchairs

Item Details

A pair of carved mahogany Chippendale armchairs. These hand carved armchairs feature foliate carving to the crest rail and back supports with the splat being ornately pierced and carved. The arms of the chairs are carved, moulded and scrolled in the traditional manner with foliate carving on the skirt and on the knees of the cabriole legs which end in claw and ball feet. The drop seats are upholstered in gold and purple stripes of varying widths and combinations.
