19th Century American Cherry Cannonball Bedstead

Item Details

A 19th century American cherry cannonball bedstead. This cherry bedstead is in a lively late Federal country style that started out as a rope bed but has since been converted for use with a modern full sized mattress. The headboard and footboard are dramatically scrolled and sit between four turned cherry posts; at top reeded and topped with large ball-shaped finials at top; at bottom turned and finished with arrow feet.
