A giclee print on paper after the paper cut out Icarus by well-listed French Modernist Henri Matisse (1869 – 1954), originally created for his ground-breaking book Jazz, printed in 1947. This piece, inspired by the Greek mythological figure of Icarus, features the black silhouette of a figure floating against a saturated blue sky. A red spot marks his heart and he is surrounded by bright yellow stars. Presented under glass in a black metal frame with a hanging wire to the verso.
