Signed Vintage Collotype "Dirty Cats"
Item Details
A signed collotype on paper after an original aquatint etching titled Dirty Cats in the style of French artist and cartoonist Boris O’Klein (1893-1985). This humorous print depicts a line of anthropomorphous cats in trench coats and suits waiting to urinate in a single blue stall, as one cat sneaks off to relieve himself on a nearby tree. This print is signed in graphite to the lower right. The print is matted in white and presented behind glass in a thin wooden frame with gray finish and a hanging wire attached to the verso.
Condition
- print is quite yellowed with age. Light foxing is developing across. Frame is separating to upper right corner.
