Antique Wedgwood Augustus L Jansson Card Plates
Item Details
A collection of transferware plates from the maker Wedgwood. This grouping contains seven plates which each depict artwork by Augustus L Jansson which depict the different figures and symbols used in playing cards with a sonnet placed on either end of the figures. The maker’s, artist’s, copyright and production marks are stamped on the undersides of the pieces which feature a serial number of ‘550208’.
Condition
- various degrees of wear, scuffs, scratches, dust residue and paint chipping present on the pieces.
