A reversible black lacquered interpretation of a Japanese step chest. This double sided black lacquered modern interpretation of a Japanese step chest or kaidan-dansu is made of hard wood and breaks apart into four sections for moving or rearrangement. The drawers and doors on both sides are fitted with traditional East Asian brass hardware, the doors coming with bird tail key pins for closure.
