An ink drawing on paper of a portrait. This drawing depicts an expressive rendering of a figure in front portraiture, who is rendered with frenetic linework in varying widths. The marks swirl around the face, forming a loose landscape of silhouetted figures ascending a mountainside. To the lower right corner of the composition is an illegible marking, possibly that of an artist signature. The drawing is presented under glass beneath matting in a stained wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
