A vintage handwoven Chinese Nichols style wool area rug. The persimmon field has small white dots placed by the weavers known as ‘seeding’. The asymmetrical design features blossoming branches and a butterfly worked in shades of variegated blues, turquoise, olive green, gold, wine, rose, dove gray, taupe, rust, brown, and navy. A vine with tendrils and blossoms creates a visual inner border inside a plain narrow border in dusty rose. Abbreviated fringe at each end. Unlabeled.
