Sadler "Duke of Wellington" and "Queen Elizabeth" Teapots

A pair of Sadler Duke of Wellington and Queen Elizabeth teapots. Included is a commemorative 1815 Battle of Waterloo teapot by Sadler of Staffordshire, England, circa 1980s. The teapot is comprised of angled panel siding, curve handle, shaped spout and finial. lid. To the sides are portraits of the Duke of Wellington and his soldiers, including the Private of the Black Watch Regiment, the Captain of the 3rd Foot Guard, the Sergeant of the 1st Foot Guard and the sergeant of the Coldstream Guards. Maker’s marks ‘Sadler’ present to the underside, pattern number 4441.
The second teapot features notable English Nobles and historical figures, pattern 4442 produced by Sadler. The figures include Queen Elizabeth I, Sir Walter Raleigh, Sir Frances Drake, Robert Dudley, Lord Burghley, Earl of Leicester, and Lord High Treasurer. The lid of the pot commemorates the “Fighting of the Spanish Armada 1588.” Maker’s marks present to the underside.
