A circa early 20th century vintage to antique Chinese ceramic sculpture of a seated scholar figure, with a rolled scroll in his hand and wearing robes with ornate blue on white designs. The figure is hollow, and is marked with Chinese characters to the underside. There are also small felt pads to the underside. The face and hands are left unglazed.
