A wood engraving on newsprint titled Cutting a Figure engraved by W. H. Morse after a drawing by listed, American artist Winslow Homer (1836-1910). This print, originally published in Every Saturday in 1871, depicts a woman ice skating on a pond peering over her shoulder as she gracefully forms figure eights on the ice. It is signed in plate to the lower right and left. Additional prints and articles are present to the verso. This print is presented in a mossy green mat under an acetate sheath.

Condition

- marks and stains to mat; mat edges are slightly frayed and toned; toning to newsprint; marks and billowing to acetate sheath.
