A limited edition, hand-embellished aquatint etching titled H-I Variation by listed artist Francisco Larez (Venezuela, New York; born 1936), created in 1967. This abstract aquatint includes areas of collagraphic texture and hand applied color. Subtley colored in shades of gray wih two bright spots of red and green to the upper left, this compostion features amorphous shapes floating on a textured background, surrounded by a border of loose callagraphic-like lines. It is signed and dated in graphite to the lower right margin, and is titled and numbered 1 out of an edition of 2 to the lower left margin. Presented behind a cream linen mat, under glass in a stained wood frame. A wire hanger is present to the verso.

Condition

- print and mat are slightly buckled. Light toning to print. Abrasions and wear to frame finish.
