Lockett and Hulme "Ponte Rotto" Blue and White Transferware
Item Details
A Lockett and Hulme Ponte Rotto blue and white transferware plate. This circa 1825 plate from Lockett and Hulme features the image of the Ponte Rotto broken bridge on the river Tiber in Rome. The plate is marked to the underside ‘Ponte Rotto.’ Also included is a Wedgwood Etruria England blue and white transferware plate featuring the image of ‘Harvard Hall’ at Harvard University in 1927. The plate is marked to the underside ‘Harvard University 1927 Harvard Hall Holden Lionel Wedgwood Etruria England Sole Importers Jonle McDumfee & Stratton Boston.’ And three other blue and white transferware pieces featuring landscape scene and a fruit motif. No makers marks are noted on these pieces.
