Ceramic Mugs Featuring Royal Doulton

A group of glazed mugs with village scenery and text. Two are by Royal Doulton; one being a tankard with the text of an old English folk song. It is a two-tone brown handled mug with excerpts from an old English folk song written in script to one side, Come Landlord Fill The Flowing Bowl. Marked with the Royal Doulton stamp, ‘2217’ and ‘pôts.’ Also from Royal Doulton is a mug, Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese 1667, B A Moore & Son, with an image of the famous public house on Fleet Street in London, often frequented by Charles Dickens. The mug is marked to the underside with the lion passant crown mark and ‘3260’. Also included is a larger mug from Wade Copeland, having a transfer image of Old Coach House – York, showing a coach at the Inn; marked to the underside. The smallest mug is from Ridgway Pottery, titled _Scenes from Coaching Days + Coaching Ways’ with the text ‘A W’nter Days Amusement’ and ‘Springing Them’, and shows horse and carriage scenes. It has a sterling rim and handle and is marked to the underside.
