A Mission style butler’s secretary desk by Stickley. This quartersawn oak piece has a low guard to the back and sides of the top. The secretary has a drop front door with framed design, which opens via skeleton key to a sectioned interior with small, center cabinet. The front drops down, secured by metal braces, and rests over two small, aligned drawers, which are set over three stacked drawers. The drawers have dark metal bails on rectangular backplates, and the body has mortise and tenon accents at the top and bottom of the sides. The Stickley mark is inside a drawer.
