Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Pitcher and Mug with British Sterling Rims

A pair of stoneware pieces by Doulton Lambeth. This selection includes an antique pitcher and a vintage mug, featuring faux leather black glazed finishes, stitch detailing, and British sterling silver rims. Each is stamped with the maker’s mark ‘CS [star] FS,’ for Cornelius Saunders & Francis Shepherd, alongside London hallmarks representing a lion passant, leopard head, and different date codes; the pitcher a ‘T’ within a shield for 1894, and the mug a lowercase Gothic ‘O’ for 1929. The mug rim is additionally marked by the retailer, ‘Abercrombie & Fitch Co., New York’ and the undersides of each are stamped by ‘Doulton Lambeth, England’.
