Royal Doulton "Pied Piper" Flask with Sterling Silver Top

A Pied Piper ceramic flask with sterling silver top by Royal Doulton. The bottle-shaped flask features a hatted figure of the Pied Piper in a long cloak, playing his pipe. It also has a glossy glaze finish with dark brown base and a small handle to the neck, marked to the underside with the Royal Doulton maker’s mark and ‘Rd No 435656’. The flask has a sterling silver top on a cork stopper, attached to the flask by chain. The top is stamped to the side with the maker’s mark for George Betjemann & Sons and three hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling, a leopard’s head for London, and an ‘i’ for 1904.
Condition
- mild surface wear consistent with age and use; light crazing present throughout; some tarnishing and scratches to sterling.
