An antique London’s 1851 Great Exhibition souvenir ‘frog’ mug. The luster transfer print mug features on one side an image of Queen Victoria sitting beside two dark skinned figures in the foreground with the Crystal Palace in the background; and on the other side a depiction of Britannia the female personification of Britain with a lion and symbolic objects at her feet in the foreground and the Crystal Palace in the background. A frog is depicted on the inside of the mug at the bottom. No maker’s mark.
