A Villeroy & Boch Mettlach beer stein. This ceramic half liter lidded beer stein made by Villeroy & Boch at their factory in Mettlach, Germany is decorated with a scene of of the wedding of the Swan Knight from the opera Lohengrin. It has a vasiform pewter handle and lid, having anhand-painted image of a swan. The stein is marked with the Villeroy & Boch abbey mark with ‘2391’ and ‘01’ to the underside.
