Antique Douglas and Watts Lambeth Pottery "Lord Horatio Nelson" Mug

Item Details

A Doulton & Watts Lambeth Pottery jug in the form of a bust. This salt-glazed stoneware piece depicts the image of Lord Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), a Naval Commander in the British Royal Navy. A barley twist handle is affixed to the rear of his hat and curves down to his shoulders. The piece is stamped to the underside “Doulton & Watts Lambeth Pottery London.’ This hallmark was used by the company between 1820 and 1854.

- gentle marks and discolorations with age; hairline crack on base.
