Vintage Porcelain Hummel Figurine Collection

A collection of eight vintage porcelain Hummel figurines. This collection features Retreat to Safety depicting a boy on a fence to escape the croaking frog below. It is stamped with Goebel TMK-2 mark but bears an incised date of 1948 and incised mold number 201/1. A 1935 Village Boy features a young boy in a green jacket carrying a basket. The piece is marked “51/0” with the Goebel TMK-1 mark on the base. Also featured is a set of Hummel Apple Tree Girl and Apple Tree Boy figurines. One features a young girl seated in an apple tree and is marked “141 3/0” on the base. The other features a young boy seated in an apple tree and is marked “142 3/0” on the base. Both bear the Goebel TMK-3 mark and W. Germany marks on the base. A second Apple Tree Boy from 1950 is included and bears the TMK-2 mark and impressed 142/1 and Germany to the underside. Mischief Maker depicts a young boy sitting on a fence, while holding a musical instrument, with a bird perched to the side. It has the TMK-3 mark and is impressed with ‘1960 and 342, Goebel, W. Germany.’ A young girl reaching for a fence perched blue bird is titled Signs of Spring. The 1972 figurine is marked with TMK-5 and ‘203/1 Goebel, W. Germany’. The last item in the collection is a Merry Wanderer Original Hummel Figures sign marked ‘137 Western Germany by W. Goebel’ to the verso.
