Souvenir German Stein

Item Details

A vintage ceramic stein depicting the logo of US Navy Attack Mining Squadron Thirteen, later known as Patrol Squadron 24. The stein features a white finish with gold toned trim, with the squad’s logo, a map of the nation of Malta, and a coat of arms bearing the faux Latin phrase ‘Illigitimus non corburundum est.’ The stein is crested by the name William A. Haines, and enscribed with ‘R.N.A.S. Halfar Malta, G.C. 1958’ across the base. The domed lid is created with the image of an eagle and American shield, and the stein is marked to the underside ’Baur’s Camera & Souvenir Shop, Munich, Germany.’
