Antique Royal Doulton Pipe-Shaped Tobacco Jar with Sterling Lid

Item Details

An antique tobacco jar by Royal Doulton. This piece is in the shape of a smoking pipe and features a brown glazed finish to the bowl, a black glazed finish to the stem, and sterling silver elements including the band, lip, and lid. The lid is stamped with with an unidentified sterling mark alongside London hallmarks representing a lowercase Gothic ‘U’ for 1915, a lion passant, and a leopard head. The underside is stamped with the Royal Doulton maker’s mark used from 1902 to 1922.
