Vintage Hummel Figurines Including "Easter Greetings"
Item Details
A collection of vintage Hummel figurines. These three pieces depict two girls each bearing a sealed letter and a basket and a boy with a basket of yellow chicks. The figure, titled Meditation depicts a girl who stands on a square base with a circular opening is marked ‘M I Hummel’ to the edge of the base, and stamped with a black letter ‘B’. Barely legible numbers are written in the surface. The boy with a feather in his blue cap, Easter Greetings, is marked ‘M I Hummel’ on the edge of the round base; the base is marked with the blue ‘Goebel – W. Germany’ stamp with the small bee in the ‘V’, a series from 1972 to 1979. This item is also marked in the surface ‘1971’ and ‘378’. The other girl is marked on the top of the square base ‘M I Hummel’ and to the base with the blue stamp of the small bee within the V and ‘W. Germany’, which dates it approximately 1960 to 1972. It is also marked in the surface ‘13/0’ and marked with a black ‘5’.
