An original oil on canvas painting by German-born artist Gerhard Nesvadba (born 1942). Gerhard Nesvadba was born in Ober-Ramstadr, Germany and was encouraged by his father, a painter, to follow his artistic talents. He is known for painting landscapes with harmonizing colors. Nesvadba work is housed in public and private collections including Municipal Museum in Hamburg and Collection of the Ministry for Art and Education in Vienna. This landscape painting depicts a vivid field of poppies with rolling hills and a distant lake and trees. Signed in black to the lower right side. Presented in a carved wood frame with a brushed metallic finish. Includes a leaflet with artist information.
