A pairing of “Picturesque America” colored engravings. This listing includes works by late 19th century artists and were originally offered as a way for Americans to see other parts of their country. The prints are titled Scenes on the Ohio and Cincinnati, View from the Carlisle Hotel. Scenes on the Ohio includes views of the vineyards below Cincinnati, Bellevue, Parkersburg, and Patriot. The Cincinnati, View from the Carlisle Hotel depicts the downtown area. Both prints are professionally presented under double mats in wooden frames with gilt finishes. Hanging wires are attached to the versos. Both bear stickers that read in part “Authenticity Guaranteed G. B. Manasek, Inc. Norwich, VT.”
