A finely hand-knotted Indo-Persian Kashan wool area rug. This rug features a palette of cranberry, deep indigo, clementine, ivory, rose, sage, sky blue, and camel; beginning with a deep indigo central pendant medallion surround with floral and foliate motifs with ivory colored spandrels. The cranberry field is framed in a main herati patterned border with meandering leaf and floral guard borders. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and a fine natural warp ivory fringe. Unlabeled.
