The singer and actress Selena Marie Gomez ( 1992- ) is a native Texan, she started her professional career in 2002 in Barney and Friends, but it was her role as Alex in the show Wizards of Waverly Place that brought her to stardom. Her album ‘Stars Dance’ was atop the charts in 2013, her hit single ‘Come & Get It’ was a top ten. Her song It Ain’t Me reached #2 on the Billboard charts this past March.
