Antique Cast Metal Clock Garniture
Item Details
An antique cast metal clock garniture of a seated woman with bird. Believed to be a reproduction dated circa 1910, this piece appears to be made of spelter metal with brass plating and depicts a beautiful young woman holding a folded letter in her right hand. Her bare foot is supported on a low footstool. She looks down on a bird that is perched at her feet. The statue is supported on a detached base with a bolt hook to the verso. This item appears unmarked.
Condition
- overall. Chip to the front corner of the base; small chips to base edges; drilled holes to the detached base; the rear or the base has a protruding bolt bracket; aged patina.
