Item Details
An oil painting on wooden panel of an abstracted landscape-like scene in the manner of H. M. Pechstein. This work uses dark yellows and blues to render a drooping tree with a river-like line to one side, and the signature reads ‘HMPechstein’. The painting is presented unframed and without hanging hardware, a collection of illegible marks to its verso. No provenance can be established.
Condition
- crazing throughout; very worn surface and edges; fading to image; damage to corners and back.
