An oil painting of a landscape on canvas by listed Dutch artist Emil Poulsen (1873-1958) This work depicts a view of a city as seen between the crests of two tree-scattered hills, a hazy horizon line to the far distance. This piece is signed lightly toward its lower left corner and is mounted in a gold tone frame with a carved foliate motif and a length of twine for hanging to its verso.
Condition
- poor; dent to upper left of canvas; some buckling to canvas; craquelure throughout painting; areas of cracking, paint loss and tenting to painting; paint is unstable and may sustain further loss in transport; wear to frame finish.
