Danish Painted Oak Tall Tobacco Cabinet

Item Details

An antique Danish painted oak tall tobacco cabinet. This six-sided cabinet features a broken pediment above a square cabinet door with a routed octagon. Below, is an open shelf and a lower cabinet. The middle shelf has a added scalloped trim with a small acanthus leaf carving. The flanking panels have arched niches with a dimensional triangular carving followed by panels with open arches. The lower case features a cabinet door with escutcheon and key. The cabinet is painted green with a reddish painted trim. The case stands on cut-out goblet shaped front legs and straight back legs.
