An artist’s proof stone lithograph on paper titled Chamber Music by Joseph Kossonogi (Israel; 1908-1981). Depicted is a green luminescent room with abstracted figures playing instruments and a large chandelier lit above them. Artist’s signature to lower right corner with artist’s proof to lower left corner. Presented matted under glass in a gold toned metal frame with wire hanger to verso.
Joseph Kossonogi was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1908. His paintings reflect a dream like element in his compositions, but at the same time retain a figurative expressionist approach. Many of his paintings have been acquired by museums and private collections in Israel and abroad.
