An oil painting on canvas of a pastoral landscape by artist Grenell, created in 1857. This painting depicts a village on a river framed viewed between two large boulders in the foreground. Two small goats play just beside a low waterfall rendered with precise and realistic brushwork. It is faintly signed and dated to the lower left edge. This paintings remains unframed.

- to fair; the painting’s original canvas has been mounded onto newer canvas; visible craquelure throughout; wear and fraying to edges of painting; marks and dust to composition.
