An antique Beshir Ersari prayer rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of black, plum, crimson, ivory, sepia, olive, and indigo. It features a diamond shaped mihrab filled with floral motifs on a black field. The field is framed by multiple geometric borders including laleh abbasi guard borders , a repeated diamond motif border, and a bracket style border. This unique rug is finished with double overcast selvedges and a natural warp knotted ivory fringe. Unlabeled.
